The text, of which we will present you with extensive excerpts below, and which calls for genocide, purges, terror in Ukraine, the establishment of gulags, concentration camps, etc., has not emerged from the depths of the Internet, where zoophiles, paedophiles, racists and Nazis of all kinds hide. This is an article by the Russian philosopher and film producer Timofey Sergeyev, 'What should Russia do about Ukraine', which was published by the official, state-run Russian news agency RIA Novosti.
The text is disgusting, extremely vile, clumsy and primitive, but we are quoting it because it leaves no doubt as to what Russia's real intentions are regarding Ukraine and what kind of creature Russia itself is. It should not be taken as the rantings of some psychopath (although Sergeyev is undoubtedly one), but as the official stance of the Russian regime, or at least of the formation that rules Russia today. It is difficult to find the words to comment on the abomination of this article, but we will make a few remarks.
WAR IN UKRAINE
Above all, the shamelessness and enormity of the lie on which it is based is striking. It is hard to believe the scale of the subsequent lies, when Sergeyev writes, for example, that the 'Ukrainian Nazi regime' is more dangerous than German Nazism.
Another thing that strikes one is the prideful, bigoted position the author takes, which at the same time betrays the mentality of a slave, a rabbi, who is alien to the concepts of personal freedom and the right of nations to self-determination. According to him, Russia can decide which states have the right to exist and which do not, what national identity is and is not, and therefore can deny peoples the right to consider themselves a nation. People are ethnic components, some kind of masses, (these are the terms used by the author) shapeless, without any characteristics, which the ruler/state can freely bring up, re-educate, train, transfer, lock up in forced labour camps, and finally carry out purges. Sergeyev has experience of his own country, where people are treated like slaves, like cattle that can be sent to slaughter in Ukraine, for example.
Sergeyev's text also shows that Russia has not understood anything from its own and the world's history. It has not 'worked through' the enormity of its own crimes, so crime and genocide are still a normal tool for it to play politics and maintain power and its people in bondage. A symbol of this is the corpse of Lenin, a criminal and genocidal, kept on the main square in the Russian capital, Red Square, to which Russians make pilgrimage, or the revived cult of Stalin, one of the worst monsters in the history of mankind.
Recently, one of the Kremlin's most despicable propagandists, Vladimir Soloviev, had an interview with the Russian ambassador to Poland, Sergei Andreyev. During the talk, the gentlemen laughed at Stalin's jokes about how Lviv had never belonged to the Russian empire, but Warsaw did. Can you imagine the German ambassador quoting Hitler's bon mots? Solovyov was the one who cried that he would no longer be able to go to his villas in Italy, threatened with nuclear weapons, and said that without Russia the world should not exist.
