Living half a century in Krakow, Jan Nowicki played in the Stary Theater - here in his apartment in 1999. When he returned to his native Kujawy, so-called black, lived near Kowal, in the picturesque village of Krzewent, surrounded by a forest and waters of three lakes, close to a nature reserve. He had a home in this settlement, where he found excellent conditions for literary work - because after the age of over 70 only occasionally he happened to be an actor.
